Five hundred in the sample. Fieldwork stopped at forty, because nobody had time to call the rest.

Threll calls your sample in Norwegian and asks the questions in the same order every time. Respondents can also call in themselves when it suits them. The answers arrive structured and comparable, with the whole call transcribed. You set it up yourself in the console in an afternoon – with help from us if you want it.

The problem

The fieldwork that never finished

A sample of five hundred is not five hundred answers. It's five hundred calls that have to be made in the evening, by someone who asks the questions identically every time. That's why telephone surveys cost what they cost – and why most of them end up as a web form instead.

The web form reaches the willing

The people who answer online are the people who most want to answer. That isn't the same thing as your sample.

Interviewers ask differently

Ten temps on an evening shift place tone and probing questions a little differently. The difference ends up in the numbers, not in the methodology note.

The agency charges per interview

The price per completed interview decides how large the sample gets. Which means the budget decides how certain the numbers are.

None of the three answers what you actually need to know: what do the ones we never reached think?

The arithmetic

Run the numbers with your own figures

It takes just three numbers. How many interviews you want in a month, what share of them you can't field yourself, and what a completed interview costs at an agency.

500
70 %
450 kr
Field cost per month157,500 kr

You're paying roughly 157,500 kr a month for 350 interviews. Threll Start costs 699 kr.

We don't know your numbers. But sample size is almost always set by the field budget rather than by the method – and that's the whole point. The test week gives you the price of your own fieldwork, whether or not you pick us afterwards.
Setup

Live in a single afternoon

Five steps you do yourself in the console. The agent calls out from the list and takes calls in on your number – you choose whether to use both directions or just one. If you get stuck, we help for free.

You connect the list and the number

    The agent calls, or answers

The answers land where they should

AGENT

Hello, this is an AI assistant calling on behalf of Nordisk Analyse. We're running a survey about electricity suppliers, and it takes about six minutes. Is now a good time?

RESPONDENT

Yes, that's fine as long as it doesn't take any longer than that.

AGENT

Thank you. First: have you switched electricity supplier in the last twelve months?

RESPONDENT

Yes, in February I think it was.

AGENT

And what was the main reason you switched?

RESPONDENT

It was the price, really. I got an offer that was quite a bit cheaper, and that was that.

AGENT

On a scale of one to five, how satisfied are you with the new supplier?

RESPONDENT

Four. They're fine, but the app is slow.

AGENT

Noted: four, and that the app is slow. That leaves us three questions.

What your customer hears, and what you need to be able to answer

Five questions you will get – from a customer, a board chair or a procurement officer. The answers are the same on every plan.

01

The agent says it is an AI assistant

It happens in the first sentence. It is a requirement under the EU AI Act – and it is also what makes customers accept it.

02

Norwegian and European data storage

Call data is processed within the EEA. A data processing agreement is standard, not an add-on.

03

Telephony on Telenor SIP infrastructure

The same network as the rest of Norwegian business telephony. No detour across the public internet.

04

You own the data

Export or delete whenever you want. You set the retention period yourself.

05

On-prem and sovereign hosting exist

For those who must have it. Most firms in this segment don't need it – tell us if you do.

Objections

What you're going to ask about

Can't find the answer? Call us on +47 24 12 66 30.

Yes, and they're told in the first sentence – the agent says so before it says what the survey is about. For an interview that's also a methodological advantage: everyone gets exactly the same wording.

The questions are asked word for word identically to everyone, in the same order, with no interviewer effect. The whole interview is transcribed, so you can audit any call afterwards – which you rarely can with a hired evening team.

A survey is not marketing, so opt-outs from cold calling don't apply. You still need a lawful basis for processing the personal data, and the agent ends the call politely the moment a respondent declines. If the survey also sells something, it is marketing, and then the ordinary rules apply.

Yes. You write the screening questions and the criteria yourself. If a respondent falls outside the quota the interview ends after screening, and the agent carries on down the list until the quota is full.

Answers are stored structured per question and can be exported, with the open answers verbatim alongside the codes. You skip the transcription round between field and analysis.

The agent thanks them and ends the call. The number is marked as a refusal and never dialled again, no matter how many attempts you configured.

No. Outbound calls are placed from your own number, and if you want to take calls in as well, a number is forwarded to it. You keep your number, your operator and your setup.

You do it yourself: uploading the sample takes ten minutes, and entering the questionnaire typically takes half an hour in the console. If you'd like one of us on a screen share, it costs nothing.

Nothing. You create the account yourself, run a week of fieldwork on your own sample, and have your own figures afterwards.
