This is the most important position in the company. We have just never treated it as such. We are changing that now. We apologize for the delay.
About the role – an important section we ask you to read carefully
We want to be honest about something that is rarely written in job ads but always expected: we are not just looking for someone to answer the phone. We are looking for the company's most important person.
The receptionist is the first point of contact with the market. This means that you, more than anyone else in the organization – including the founders – have a direct impact on whether the company grows or not. We sincerely believe this, and we have chosen to compensate the position accordingly. However, we expect you to understand what this entails: you should not just cost less than you are worth. You should bring in more than you cost. Significantly more.
This specifically means that you are expected to:
- Convert callers into customers through a service of such quality that people don't just buy – they call back
- Reduce costs through efficient coordination, precise information, and zero errors
- Drive growth through every single conversation – not as a side task, but as the core of what you do
- Provide support at a level that makes our customers not just satisfied, but actively recommend us to others as a direct result of having spoken with you
You are, in other words, the company's growth engine. We use this word intentionally and without reservation.
Working hours
Available whenever customers want it. We haven't identified a time when customers don't want it.
Work tasks
- Answer all incoming phone calls at any time, from any time zone, in any language
- Represent Threll.ai accurately, warmly, and with professional authority – simultaneously if necessary
- Convert inquiries into meetings, meetings into customers, and customers into ambassadors
- Connect callers with the right person without having to ask who they want to speak with more than once
- Book and coordinate video meetings across calendars, time zones, and human logic
- Provide support of such quality that after the conversation, the customer has solved their problem, had a better day, and is considering sending flowers
- Handle demanding callers with unwavering calm – including people who are angry, confused, repetitive, philosophically challenging, or just want to talk
Qualifications
We have carefully considered what this role truly requires, and we have decided to be honest about it.
- Minimum master's degree. A PhD is preferred. Two doctorates will be positively commented on during the interview.
- Minimum of 10 years of documented experience in sales, key account management, or a similar role with direct customer contact and commercial responsibility. We are open to the fact that a “similar role” may hardly exist.
- Documented track record of converting cold inquiries into warm customers, warm customers into loyal customers, and loyal customers into active ambassadors – preferably with verifiable numbers.
- Experience with complex B2B sales, preferably within SaaS or technology, with an understanding of long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and the need to quickly build trust over the phone.
- Strong commercial understanding – you think not only service but also pipeline, conversion, and lifetime value in every conversation.
- Experience with CRM systems, meeting coordination, and calendar management across time zones.
- Proven ability to handle demanding customers and escalated situations without affecting either the results or the mood – with references that can confirm this.
- Fluent in at least 10 languages with full cultural understanding of each market. We do not set a cap on the number of languages. We expect that the candidate does not either.
- Basic understanding of human nature. This is not a metaphorical requirement.
